Lag Screw RHT Button End Stopper SRTT kit includes fittings suitable for a Vertical Run into a top rail – with a bottom rail in place. The set up works as the Lag Screw is one tensioning point. There are enough fittings for a single wire run. Note – can be combined with a Bevel Washer for stair installations
Application
In this application, the wire is built to length and the Lag Screw is fed through a hole drilled in the Bottom Rail. The end of the run uses the Swaged Lag Screw to create the required tension, and the other end uses a swage end stopper (sometimes called a dome end, or end stop) to keep the wire from pulling through the bottom rail and the washer to prevent twisting the wire.
The fittings must use hydraulic swaging. They suit wire runs of 3.2mm Stainless steel wire rope, provided it measures less than 10 metres. The length of a wire run is measured from the inside of each end post.
Installation of the Lag Screw RHT End Stopper SRTT kit is simple. Cut the wire to length, swage the dome end, add on the washer, feed the wire through pre-drilled bottom rail, swage the Lag Screw terminal on, and screw into the timber insert to apply tension.
