Description

Loxin Anchor fittings are two half shields. These shields hold together using lugs recessed into the outer body. A zinc plated steel Loxin Anchor (expansion anchor) enables the attachment of a bolt in concrete or rock. Firstly, these plugs are a type of anchor that, for example, allows bolts to be fitted into concrete walls. Secondly, the hole size required to install a Loxin is considerably larger than all other masonry anchors. Consequently, the rather large expander nut fitted into the bottom of the shield causes this. Finally, because of this fact, a greater degree of expansion is achieved when the bolt is tightened down into the nut.

Application: This Loxin Anchor inserts loosely into a drilled hole. Then the screw tightens into the fitting drawing it out of the wall. As the fitting tries to emerge, the anchor portion expands conforming tightly to the wall material. Such anchors can attach one object to another in situations where screws, nails, adhesives, or other simple fasteners are either impractical or ineffective. Different anchor types on different types of surfaces vary in strength.

Please note that these anchors

  • work well in all directions of force – both shear force and direct tension in-line with the Loxin
  • are NOT recommended in brickwork, mortar, or soft stone. Their size and function requires expansion forces that may crack the substrate

Features and Benefits:

  • Flush setting for No protrusions when not in use.
  • Female thread so bolts and threaded studs of any length or type can be used.
  • Shallow embedment results inreduced chance of drilling into rebar, therefore faster drilling.
  • Captive expander nut holds in place at the extreme of the anchor length for maximum embedment.
