An Open Frame Turnbuckle Body is a fitting that is designed to provide a tensioning function. It has RHT on one side and LHT threads on the other. As such, they can be combined with a host of (properly sized) connections using RHT and LHT fittings for the desired effect. This fitting is made from polished marine grade stainless steel and offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The manufacturing process uses high quality cast AISI 316 marine grade stainless steel and the end products are electro polished for a superior finish.
Usage: Low Cost Wire Stainless Steel Fittings are specifically designed for general purpose and shade sail applications and suit most types of metric threaded Eye Nuts and Hex Nuts. Note that these fittings are NOT rated for lifting purposes.A turnbuckle Body is available in a number of sizes – in both open and closed formats.
