Countersunk (CSK) Head M5 Machine Screws have a Phillips Drive and are very cute but they are NOT self threading. We offer various sizess and lengths for use in a wide variety of projects. Please note that G304 Stainless Steel Screws are no more brittle than mild steel screws. It is important to keep them perpendicular to you work. if you drive stainless steel screws in with an electric screwdriver or drill – set the the clutch as low as possible. This lessens the likelihood that the head may be popped off by impact with the bracket if the contact is not uniform
Usage: Countersunk Head Screws fasten into the posts or uprights directly. They serve as the fastening points for anchors any number of things on location points suiting a flat and solid surface. Choose a shorter Screw for attachment into thin metal. Nutserts are recommended. There is more than enough bite and you avoid the possibility of torqueing off a longer screw. Choosing a longer length is only appropriate in special circumstances.
