Consequently, they are made from various materials depending on their size and capacity. A Plastic Spool purchased separately is a means of storing a small amount of wire or chain in a more manageable form.
Usage: These Spools or Reels are manufactured with ends that are both rigid and thin. Therefore, this allows it to be aligned and either used on a roller assembly or suspended on an ‘axle’ (e.g. a broomstick for the small reels and a piece of 50mm galvanised pipe for the larger reels).
