Description

A Vertical 3.2mm Flat Section Wire can function as a ‘dropper’ or an intermediate post in a span that is longer than 1.5M (and is therefore subject to excessive deflection EVEN IF the wires are spaced at 80mm apart). This type of assembly can also be used in landscaping in either as a Vertical Wire Dropper (this listing) or as a  Diagonal Wire Support (Diagonal Wire Support listing)

Each Vertical 3.2mm Flat Section Wire kit has a Top End with a Dome End Terminal (floating) a Bottom End with a Dome End Terminal (floating) a wire (1×19) and a number of Cross Wire Clamps.  Normally, you should use the same number of Cross Wire Clamps as you have horizontal wires that your vertical wire will mate up with.

Usage: The cross wire clamps are installed at every cross over point to secure the vertical wire to the horizontals. And the rod ends are installed on the ends of the vertical wire – cut to such a length that the finished end of the wire just brushes the underside of the top rail and the surface of the deck. For example – normally a flat section of balustrade will use 11 wires – so you would use a kit with 11 (horizontal) wires, whereas a stair section of balustrade will use 10 wires… etc.

As an assembly, a Vertical Dropper Floating Wire is built to a specified length and configuration to facilitate installation. Alternatively, the components can be provided as a kit. can also be used in landscaping in either a vertical or a diagonal orientation.
