Description
Tie Down Dee Rings Zinc Plated Steel are the reinforcement that provides structure to the end loop of a stainless or galvanised steel wire (or rope) run or a sling. When it is secured, the force of the bearing point is evenly distributed along the inner side of the ring and minimizes wear and stretch on the wire cable or sling. These Tie Down Rings are Commercial Grade Zinc Plated low Carbon steel and are NOT technically rated (SWL ~ 2.5T & 5.0T)
Usage: The Tie Down Dee Rings Zinc Plated Steel do not terminate wire. Normally, they fasten to a loop at the end of a length of wire. The wire is threaded through one side of a swage, the wire is then looped around a thimble (with the ring inside) and the end of the wire is threaded back through the swage. The swage and thimble are then secured using a manual crimping tool. The thimble forms the ‘loop’ secured by the ferrule attached to the ring.
