Wire Rope Thimbles Zinc Plated Steel are the reinforcement that provides structure to the end loop of a stainless or galvanised steel wire (or rope) run. When it is secured, the force of the bearing point is evenly distributed along the length of the thimble and minimizes wear and stretch on the wire cable. A Thimble works with hydraulically and mechanically pressed ferrules. These Wire Rope thimbles are Commercial Grade Zinc Plated low Carbon steel.

Usage: The Wire Rope Thimbles Zinc Plated Steel does not terminate wire. Normally, the end of a length of wire is threaded through one side of a swage, the wire is then looped around a thimble and the end of the wire is threaded back through the swage. The swage and thimble are then secured
using a manual crimping tool. The thimble forms the ‘loop’ secured by the ferrule. The attachment point already secured to the posts or uprights fastens to the loop. A larger thimble can be used with a small diameter wire to afford protection or form a larger loop. And this works if there is clearance.
