Eye Bolt 1/2″ BS 529 Zinc Plated Steel (or British Collared Eye Nut Bolts) are BSW Threaded rated fastening points that anchor a fixture onto a threaded rod. An Eye Nut Bolt is a “nut with a loop”. These are Imperial Standard (British Standard Whitworth) version of the short Eye Bolts They secure to any ‘FEMALE” fitting with the proper sized thread (such as studs, ready rod, eye bolts, etc.)

Eye Bolt 1/2″ BS 529 Zinc Plated Steel (or British Collared Eye Nut Bolts) are BSW Threaded rated fastening points that anchor a fixture onto a threaded rod. An Eye Nut Bolt is a “nut with a loop”. These are Imperial Standard (British Standard Whitworth) version of the short Eye Bolts They secure to any ‘FEMALE” fitting with the proper sized thread (such as studs, ready rod, eye bolts, etc.) The eye on the Eye Bolt BS529 is slighly smaller than the DIN 580 Eye bolts.
Usage:The Eye Bolt 1/2″ BS 529 Zinc Plated Steel are generally used as a removable lifting point where a rated female thread or nut can be utilised also can be used as a termination for chain, wire rope and other assembles where required. These Eye Bolts are made from C15 carbon steel with zinc plated finish, manufactured with a standard larger eye -available in metric thread sizes. Each Fittings is marked with working load limit in tonne, nominal size in millimetre, quality grade, batch numbered and supplier identification. These fittings are proof tested to 2 x working load limit and minimum breaking force of 6 x working load limit.Note that these fittings ARE rated for lifting purposes.
