Gym Cable Bell End Stoppers are Swaged fittings that can be used to fix to single wire ropes. Our Bell End Stopper fittings are called a wide variety of things including Cable Cap Sleeves, or simply a version of a Round Ferrule. There are two versions, one has a solid end and one has a hollow tip at the bell. Basically, they are bits of Zinc Plated Mild Steel that are designed to be hydraulically swaged onto the wire rope and act as a ‘stop’ point or terminal. In practice, this is putting a swaged terminal on the wire, so something doesn’t slip off the wire.
Usage: Gym Cable Bell Zinc Plated Stopper Swages are used with hollow bolts or swivel brackets on various types of lifting or control cables – but generally on Gym Equipment Cables. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings is greater than the MBS of the wire to which they are fastened. Stainless Steel Rod end Terminals are other alternatives – that can be hydraulically swaged onto the wire with similar retention performance.
