Description
Jaw Swage Rigging Screw Swaged Lag Screw Short Eye Screw SRTT kit is all 316 Stainless Steel. And it suits a run of wire of 10 meters or less (hence the SR or Short Run) because there is a single tensioning point. The single tensioning point uses two attachment points which are a Short Eye Screw and a Swaged Lag Screw. These attach directly into the two timber posts directly (hence the TT or Timber to Timber).
Application
We recommend cutting, building, installing (a single wire first) and reviewing your installation to ensure that it looks the way YOU want it to look once its complete.
Option 1 Build in Place First step, secure the eye screw and the swaged lag screw. Secondly, drill the intermediate posts out to at least 4mm prior to swaging in place. Thirdly, install the wire through the intermediate posts and cut to length. Finally, before swaging, please expand all of the tensioners. As a result, this preserves the maximum adjust-ability.
Option 2 Pre Build Alternately, you build the wire into the Jaw Swage Rigging Screw Swaged Lag Screw Short Eye Screw SRTT Kit before you install it. Consequently the wire length is the inside to inside post measurement less a fixed amount. Interestingly, this fixed amount is the distance taken up by the fittings. Finally, the kit installs and adjusts properly with the correct length adjustment.
