It is well designed with reliable, solid construction and chews through both stainless and galvanised rod. The Jaws can also be swapped over for Swager Head or even the Wire Cutting Head.
Description
Rod Cutter Head is a replacement or accessory head. This is NOT a complete tool. It has the basic shear design to pinch off the rod or bolt being cut – and it fits on our bench mounted All-in-One Swaging and Cutting Tool as well as our 600mm Professional Hand Swager. Its not pretty, but it will cut rod all day long – straight and true 🙂 This robust design eliminates shake and vibration which makes the tool usable over extended timeframes
Usage: The Rod and Bolt Cutter Head chomps up to 8.0mm Galvanised or Stainless Steel rod with forged steel jaws making easy work of the material. Use of this head in our Bench mounted tool makes repetitive (jig) cuts extremely repeatable. This Cutting Head suits rods or bolts made from both Mild Steel, Galvanised Steel, and Stainless Steel. It easily eats Copper or Aluminium wire for electrical work as well. However, Under pain of DISCIPLINE – do NOT use this tool on wire rope. It will simply annoy the wire as it attempts to chew through – but it will fail utterly. Used properly, the precise Rod cutting head ensures a high-quality cutting result – time after time.
