These Rudder Cable 2.1kN G316 Stainless Steel Repair Kits are made from 1.6mm 1×19 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope which is marine grade – bare and naked for a total Outside Diameter of 1.6mm. They are sold in pairs (one for each side of the surf ski 🙂 Additionally, this Rudder Repair Wire has no stretch with avery low co-efficient of friction. Consequently, this means it handles easily. Finally, the cables come with swage sleeves and thimbles that match. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~215 kg or 2.1kN .
Usage: This flexible control cable fastens easily, fits smoothly and easily into the sheath and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch, and units are available in a 3.5M common length. Always ensure that the environment is clean during re-assembly.
