Description
These 1172mm Safety Anchor Straps are made from Black PVC Coated 5.0mm 7×19 G316 Stainless Steel which is marine grade 5.0mm stainless steel wire rope – for a total Outside Diameter of ~7.0mm. It securely attaches objects to anchor points and is primarily used for Safety Anchors. This anchoring lanyard prevents accidental movement. Additionally, this Safety Wire has no stretch with mid range flexibility. Consequently, the flexible wire means it handles easily. Finally, the Anchor Straps use 5.0mm 7×19 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Wire Rope. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~1743.7 kg or 17.0kN with the overall construction rated at the same level – 17kN (which greatly exceeds the required 15kN for certified Safety Straps).
Usage: This flexible safety wire fastens easily, bends readily, and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch and the optional G316 Stainless Steel Quick Link can be added easily. The safety strap fastens in three ways. Firstly, to itself for a loop. Secondly – onto the wire itself for adjustable security. Thirdly – from the object to the anchor point for a standard installation. The Stainless Steel Safety Wire is best for installations in aggressive or corrosive environments.
Length of Wire: Using combinations of lanyards to get the desired total length is NOT recommended. Lengths (L) are measured from ‘center of eye’ to ‘center of eye’ within our stated tolerances. If greater precision is required, then agreed tolerances must be discussed and agreed before construction.
