Description
These Case Safety Anchors are made from 3.0mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel which is an uncoated marine grade 3.0mm stainless steel wire rope. It securely attaches objects when the Eye Bolt is used as an anchor point. Used as a Case Safety Anchor, this anchoring lanyard prevents accidental item (equipment) drops. Additionally, this Case Anchor Safety Wire has no stretch with high range flexibility. Consequently, the flexible wire means it handles easily. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~489.5 kg or 4.8kN with a SWL of 97.8 kg or 0.97kN using a 5x Safety Factor.
Usage: This flexible safety wire fastens easily, bends readily, and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch and units can be combined to form a longer effective length. An optional G316 Stainless Steel Quick Link or G316 Snap Hook can be added easily. The Safety Case Anchor is normally installed using the Eye Bolt as the anchor point. This anchor point can be bolted to items either with a backing nut or directly into threads thus acting as a “miniature” lifing eye. The Stainless Steel Safety Wire is best for installations in aggressive or corrosive environments.
Length of Wire: Using combinations of lanyards to get the desired total length is NOT recommended. Quicklinks are NOT included in this variant – but are available separately. Lengths (L) are measured from ‘Tip to Tip” within our stated tolerances. If greater precision is required, then agreed tolerances must be discussed and agreed before construction.
