The Slip-Lox Cable Gripper Cap Driver suits the C3 adjustable cap. It enables the cap to be securely screwed into an M10 anchor point. The driver is designed to center the fitting as it has a recessed hole in the body to accommodate the stem. The remaining portion of the the tool functions as a drive plate that interlocks with the slot in the fitting cap. Note: each driver is individually manufactured and machined to fit a given Slip-Lox cap configuration. Other specialized tools can be developed in consultation and quoted.
Usage: The Slip-Lox Cable Gripper Cap Driver tool has a standard hexagonal drive that fits every bog-standard screwdriver in existence. It is recommended that the driver is used either ‘by hand’ or in a variable speed drill with the clutch set EXTREMELY low. This is because the driver is made from tool steel and the cap is nickel plated brass. Finally, Slip-Lox fittings can be combined with a huge variety of other fittings for anchorage purposes or load distribution. Note that these fittings have a WLL established based on the MBS of the deployment cable using an 8x safety factor.
