Thread Reducing Inserts in G316 Stainless Steel can be used to reduce the size large female threads or enlarge smaller male threads. These fittings can be used in combinations and work with Metric Coarse threads M4, M6, M8, M10, and M12. One end is slotted to allow it to be inserted into the large thread.
Usage: Thread Reducing Insert Stainless Steel are used to secure smaller (male) threaded fittings into larger (female) threads. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings should be considered equivalent to a similar threaded connector. We recommend that thread locking compound is used when the insert is installed.
