Each sling we sell has a manufacturing date and is presented in its original packaging from the factory. So dating slings is all about the time it was manufactured (not its availability on Tinder or Bumble etc 🙂
When we accept an item into inventory, we inspect the manufacturing date on our slings. Taking guidance on Australian Standards (in particular AS4497.1), we are satisfied that in Australia – the condition of the sling (not its date of manufacture) dictates its usability. This is reinforced by the stated need for a visual inspection every 3 months.
As our slings are in their original packaging and remain unexposed to the environment, we are satisfied that they are fit for purpose. As a direct result, we do not segregate our inventory based on manufacturing date so we will ship new product but make no claims on manufacturing date nor will we inspect the inventory WRT manufacturing date.
