Gym Cable Swage Eyelet 3.0mm Zinc Plated  fixes to single wire ropes. They are a slimmer and stronger alternative to a Hard Eye (loop style cable end). Our Swage Eyelet Terminal fittings are called a wide variety of things including Swage Eye, Terminal Eyelet, or simply a closed swaged socket eye. Basically, they are bits of Zinc Plated Mild Steel that are designed to be hydraulically swaged onto the wire rope and act as an attachment point to connect to a Snap Hook or Carabiner. In practice, this is putting a swaged terminal on the wire so something doesn’t slip off the wire and it can be connected (easily and removable) from something else.

Usage: Gym Cable Swage Eyelet 3.0mm Zinc Plated fittings are used with hooks or carabiners on various types of 3.0mm (core) lifting or control cables – but generally on Gym Equipment Cables. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings is greater than the the MBS of the wire to which they are fastened. Stainless Steel Eye Terminals are other alternatives – that can be hydraulically swaged onto the wire with similar retention performance.
