Hardened Hexagonal Heavy Duty Hydraulic Swager dies are special purpose Hardened Hex dies designed for stainless steel fittings. These dies have a wider contact patch and offer much greater swaging precision. The Dies can be used on any 2.0mm, 2.4mm, 3.0mm, 3.2mm, and 4.0mm Stainless Steel Hydraulically Swaged fittings that we sell. These are an upgrade from the Generic Heavy Duty Swaging Dies. Hardened Round dies are also available to swage / crimp oval swage sleeves (aluminium, copper, and stainless steel) giving the tool a huge range of applicability.

Description
Hardened Hexagonal Heavy Duty Hydraulic Swager dies are special purpose Hardened Hex dies designed for stainless steel fittings. These dies have a wider contact patch and offer much greater swaging precision. All of the dies that we supply with our Swaging Tools are (and have always been) high carbon steel that is heat treated and Chrome Vanadium Plated. But these are a step above and they are awesome. Used as recommended, these jaws are hard enough that they will (probably) never need to be replaced. But if you do wear them out, or lose them in the forest – the replacements are available here…
Usage: These little beauties work for specific tools – as well as being available in specific sizes. The dies are available as individual (matched) pairs or as a set. A Heavy Duty Hardened Hex Die Set contains 1pair of the 2.0m-2.5mm Dies, 3.0mm Dies, and 4.0mm Dies. Please note that the stamped markings on the dies indicate the standard stainless steel terminal for which they are designed.
Suitability:
- 2.0-2.5mm dies work on fittings for 2.0mm, 2.4mm, and 2.5mm wire rope with a nominal OD of 5.5mm.
- 3.0mm dies work on fittings for 3.0mm, and 3.2mm wire rope with a nominal OD of 6.3mm.
- 4.0mm dies work on fittings for 4.0mmwire rope with a nominal OD of 7.5mm.
