Description
Thread Reducing Insert Nuts G316 Stainless Steel can be used to reduce the size large female threads or enlarge smaller male threads. These are essential components in industrial fastening systems and are commonly used in conjunction with screws or bolts. They serve as effective solutions for repairing damaged or incorrectly threaded holes. These versatile repair nuts find extensive application across various manufacturing sectors, including aviation, automotive, electronic communications, computers, lighting fixtures, mechanical equipment, radiators, etc. These fittings can be used in combinations and work with Metric Coarse threads M4, M6, M8, M10, and M12. One end is slotted to allow it to be inserted into the large thread. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, these repair nuts offer exceptional material properties. They exhibit stability, excellent performance, corrosion resistance, rust prevention, and high strength. Even in challenging environments, they maintain optimal functionality and longevity
Usage: Thread Reducing Insert Nuts G316 Stainless Steel are used to secure smaller (male) threaded fittings into larger (female) threads. The surface of these thread reducing nuts is smooth, with deep and clear threads that distribute force evenly. To facilitate installation and removal, each thread-reducing nut has a slot at the top for accommodating a flat head screwdriver, making it easier to screw them in. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings should be considered equivalent to a similar threaded connector. We recommend that thread locking compound is used when the insert is installed. If there is a stripped M16 thread and you wish to continue using an M16 thread, you can use this method to expand the M16 thread to M20, and then recover it back to M16 using the repair nut. By reducing the diameter and utilizing stainless steel material, it will make the M20 thread stronger.
