The Lag Screw is hydraulically swaged onto the wire rope and normally the timber posts or uprights that form the frame or area that will contain the wire. Lag Screws are primarily sized according to the diameter of wire with which they work and they are used in concert with other fittings – normally with a similar swaging style – that work with the same diameter of wire rope.

Lag Screw

A Lag Screw is a terminal fitting that is hydraulically swaged (connected) to the wire to form a terminating end (terminal).

Application

This fitting is hydraulically swaged onto the wire rope and normally the timber posts or uprights that form the frame or area that will contain the wire.

The Lag terminals are primarily sized according to the diameter of wire with which they work and they are used in concert with other fittings – normally with a similar swaging style – that work with the same diameter of wire rope.  They are used extensively in our Slimline SR (Short Run) Balustrade Kits.  Often they are paired with either the opposite threaded Lag Screw or some sort of closed turnbuckle, or even a swage stud if linking Timber to Metal posts when used in Balustrade Kits.
