Thread Converter Insert 15mm G316 Stainless Steel ALL SIZES
Thread Converting 15mm Inserts in G316 Stainless Steel can be used to reduce the size large female threads or enlarge smaller male threads. These fittings can be used in combinations and work with Metric Coarse threads. One end is slotted to allow it to be inserted into the large thread. Sizing is given in thread pitch pairs. M4-M6 indicates an insert nut with an internal/female M4 thread and an external/male M6 thread.
Description
Thread Converting Insert Nuts G316 Stainless Steel can be used to reduce the size large female threads or enlarge smaller male threads. These are essential components in industrial fastening systems and are commonly used in conjunction with screws or bolts. They serve as effective solutions for repairing damaged or incorrectly threaded holes. These versatile repair nuts find extensive application across various manufacturing sectors, including aviation, automotive, electronic communications, computers, lighting fixtures, mechanical equipment, radiators, etc. These fittings can be used in combinations and work with Metric Coarse threads. One end is slotted to allow it to be inserted into the large thread. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, these repair nuts offer exceptional material properties. They exhibit stability, excellent performance, corrosion resistance, rust prevention, and high strength. Even in challenging environments, they maintain optimal functionality and longevity
Usage: Thread Converting Insert Nuts G316 Stainless Steel are used to secure smaller (male) threaded fittings into larger (female) threads. The surface of these thread reducing nuts is smooth, with deep and clear threads that distribute force evenly. To facilitate installation and removal, each thread-reducing nut has a slot at the top for accommodating a flat head screwdriver, making it easier to screw them in. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings should be considered equivalent to a similar threaded connector. We recommend that thread locking compound is used when the insert is installed. If there is a stripped (internal/female) M4 thread and you wish to continue using an (external/male) M4 thread, you can use this method to expand (drill and tap) the internal M4 thread to M6 and then recover it back to an internal M4 thread using the repair nut. By reducing the diameter and utilizing stainless steel material, it will make the resulting connection stronger.
