Tool Lanyard Wire HEHE Black PVC Coated 3.2mm/4.0mm 1500mm 7X19 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 2 x 3.2mm Hourglass Nickel Coated Copper Swage Sleeve
  2. 2 x 35m 8.0mm Black 4:1 Heatshrink
  3. 2 x 3.0mm Stainless Steel Thimbles
  4. Blank of 3.2mm/4.0mm 7×19 Black PVC Coated G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction

  1. Cut Wire Blanks of Black PVC Coated 3.2mm/4.0mm 7×19 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope where T2T Target length is 500mm
  2. The length of each Hard Eye 51mm, which uses up 114mm of wire so an additional 63mm is needed to complete the “hard eye”
  3. Cut blanks to 626mm = 500mm – (2*51mm) + (2*114.0mm) 
  4. Strip length is 95.0mm as the coating is removed in this version.
  5. Slip both pieces of the Heat Shrink over one end of the blank
  6. For each end:
    1. Use the 3.0mm Hourglass Nickel Coated Copper Swage Sleeve to hold the Soft Eye
    2. Using the Manual Bench Swager, let the springs clamp down on the sleeve in the #3 hole
    3. Slide in  the 3.0mm Stainless Steel Thimble, allowing 1.5mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
    4. Using the #3 hole in the Manual Bench Swager, progressively press the swage sleeve.
    5. Slide the Heat Shrink over the compressed swage sleeve forming the loop and change ends
  7. Apply heat using a Heat Gun to the Heat Shrink Tubing to complete the wire.

 

Add 110mm (2 x 55mm) to length of wire and strip off 95mm of the covering to swage.

8mm 4:1 Heatshrink 2 lengths of 35mm per cable

Nickel Coated Copper Hourglass sleeves for 3.2mm wire 2 per cable

G316 stainless steel Thimbles for 3.2mm wire 2 per cable

Squish on the bench swager.
