Safety Wire SEPE-6.0 2.0mm 300mm 7X7 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 1 x 6.0mm G304 Stainless Steel Pressed Eye
  2. 1 x 2.0mm Hourglass Ferrules of Nickel-Plated Copper
  3. Blank of 2.0mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

  1. A Soft Eye uses up 48.0mm when created using the drop anchor mandrel and Each Pressed Eye extends the length of wire by 13.0mm to CofE when held as close as possible in the small vise grips
  2. Cut blanks to 335mm = 300 – 13.0mm+48.0mm
  3. Use a 2.0mm Nickel Plated Copper Swages and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the DAM tightly allowing ~1.0mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
  4. Using the 2.0mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager – press the sleeve 3 times – first by the mandrel catching the back edge of the sleeve, then at the front catching the front end of the sleeve and finish the middle for uniformity.
  5. Hold Pressed Eye in small vise grips and using the YCP-70C Dies (round 1.0mm and round 2.0mm), place the open side of the pressed eye in the 2.0mm half tube side of the die set – holding the eye up tight from the side and into the dies.
  6. Snug up the press to hold the Pressed eye with the vice grips
  7. Insert the blank all the way and press until the pressure relief valve is triggered.
  8. Align the faces of the soft eye and the pressed eye
