Bolt Swage Rigging Screw Hex Adjuster Lag Screw RHT SRTM Kit suits a run of wire of up to 10 meters (hence the SR or Short Run). The Bolt Swage Rigging Screw provides a tensioning point at one end. Consequently, this makes one end adjustable. Ultimately, the Rigging Screw and the Swage Lag Terminal secure both ends of the wire. The Hex Adjusters M6x1.0 form one attachment point into metal posts and the lag screw goes into the timber post (hence the TM or Timber to Metal). Optional versions of this Kit work with 3.2mm and 4.0mm Wire Rope.
Application
We recommend cutting, building, installing (a single wire first) and reviewing your installation to ensure that it looks the way YOU want it to look once its complete.
Option 1 – Build in Place First step, drill any intermediate posts out to at least 4mm prior to swaging in place. Secondly, install the wire through any intermediate posts and ‘cut to length’. Thirdly, before swaging, please expand all of the tensioners. Finally, this preserves the maximum adjust-ability.
Option 2 – Pre-Build Alternately, you build the wire into the Bolt Swage Rigging Screw Terminal Bolt SRMM Kit before you install it. Consequently, the wire length is the ‘inside to inside’ post measurement less a fixed amount. Interestingly, this fixed amount is the distance ‘taken up’ by the fittings. Finally, the kit installs and adjusts properly with the correct length adjustment.
