Anchor Strap 1172mm Black PVC Coated 5.0mm 7X19 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 2 x 5.0mm Oval Copper Swage Sleeve
  2. 2 x 60mm 16.0mm Black 4:1 Heatshrink
  3. 2 x 5.0mm Stainless Steel Thimbles
  4. Blank of 5.0mm 7×19 Black PVC Coated G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction

  1. The length of each Hard Eye 60mm (to the tip) which uses up 136mm of wire.
  2. Cut blanks to 1324mm = 1172 – (2*60mm) + (2*136.0mm) T2T
  3. Strip length is 145.0mm as the coating is removed in this version.
  4. Slip both 60.0mm pieces of the Heat Shrink over one end of the blank
  5. For each end:
      1. Use the 5.0mm HG Nickel Coated Copper Swage Sleeve to hold the HardEye formed by the 5.0mm Stainless Steel Thimble, allowing ~5mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
      2. Using the Manual Bench Swager for 5.0mm HG Swage Sleeves and press the swage sleeves
      3. Swage the fitting progressively until it achieves a diameter of 13.0mm (+/- 0.4mm)
      4. Slide the Heat Shrink over the compressed swage sleeve forming the loop and change ends
  6. Apply heat using a Heat Gun to the Heat Shrink Tubing to complete the wire
