Safety Wire 3.0mm 556mm EBSH-6mm 7X7 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 1 x 6.0mm Spring Hooks with Eyes
  2. 1 x 6.0mm DIN 580 Eye Bolt
  3. 2 x 3.0mm Hourglass Ferrules of Nickel Plated Copper
  4. Blank of 3.0mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

  1. The distance from the ‘end’ edge of the sleeve to the end of the soft eye to be 40mm
  2. Spring Hook adds 80mm from the bearing point to the far end of the swage of the soft eye, Eye Bolt adds 67mm from the tip to the far end of the swage of the soft eye and wire needs to extend past the front of the swage sleeve by 67mm to complete the “soft eye”
  3. Cut blanks to 818mm = 831 – (80mm + 67mm) + (2*67mm)
  4. Use 3.0mm Hourglass Nickel Coate Copper Swages and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the SH tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  5. Using the 3.0mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager – press the sleeve 3 times – first by the mandrel catching the back edge of the sleeve, then at the front catching the front end of the sleeve and finish the middle for uniformity.
  6. Use 3.0mm Hourglass Nickel Coate Copper Swages and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the EB tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  7. Using the 3.0mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager – press the sleeve 3 times – first by the mandrel catching the back edge of the sleeve, then at the front catching the front end of the sleeve and finish the middle for uniformity.
  8. Align the axial planes of the Spring Hook and Eye Bolt.
