Safety Wire SHSE 1.5M 4.0mm 7X7 G316 Stainless Steel 8.0kN

Materials per wire:

  1. 1 x 8.0mm Screw Lock Spring Hooks with Eyes
  2. 2 x 4.0mm Oval Ferrules of Copper
  3. Blank of 4.0mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

  1. The distance from the ‘end’ edge of the sleeve to the end of the soft eye to be 42mm
  2. Spring Hook adds 102mm from the bearing point to the far end of the swage of the soft eye, Soft Eye adds 42mm from the tip to the far end of the swage of the soft eye and wire needs to extend past the front of the swage sleeve by 96mm to complete the “soft eye”
  3. Cut blanks to 1532mm = 1500mm – (102mm + 42mm) + (96mm + 80mm)
  4. Align the axial planes of the Spring Hook and Soft Eye.
  5. Use 4.0mm Oval Copper Swage and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the SH tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  6. Using the 3.0mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager to lock the loop.
  7. Use 4.0mm Oval Copper Swage and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the EB tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  8. Using the 3.0mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager to lock the loop.
  9. Finish both 4.0mm Oval Copper Sleeves with the 4.0mm round dies in the C-Head on the Hydraulic Press
