Anchor Eye 6mm Wall Post G316 Stainless Steel
An Anchor Eye 6mm Wall Post Masonry Anchor is used to enable the attachment of a fitting in concrete or masonry and is support the weight of the object attached to the Eye Nut.
Description
An Anchor Eye 6mm Wall Post allows an economical and extremely strong connection to solid concrete. Firstly, our Thru bolt expansion anchor that is a steel (stainless or galvanised usually) insert. Secondly, the fitting inserts in a small hole and enables the attachment of a screw in material that is porous or brittle. Otherwise, the material would not support the weight of the object attached with the screw. Finally, these wall plugs are a type of anchor that, for example, allows screws to be fitted into concrete walls (possibly solid brick masonry as well).
Usage: This Anchor Eye 6mm Wall Post inserts loosely into a drilled hole, then a screw is tightened onto the fitting drawing it out of the wall. As the fitting tries to emerge, the anchor portion expands conforming tightly to the wall material. Once set, add the spacers. Finally, attach the eye nut to the top of the through bolt. These anchors work well in all directions of force – both shear force and direct tension in-line with the through bolt.
