Our Safety Lanyard SESE 1.0M G1570 Galvanised Steel is comparable to our Height Safety Straps at 15kN, but built with wire rated to 17kN. These lanyards do NOT comply with the Australian Height Safety Standard AS/NZS 5532. These Safety Lanyards are made from 6.0mm 6×19 G1570 Galvanised Steel which is basic 6.0mm galvanised steel wire rope – bare and naked for a total Outside Diameter of 6.0mm. It securely attaches objects to anchor points and is primarily used as a Secondary Retention Device.

Our Safety Lanyard SESE 1.0M G1570 Galvanised Steel is comparable to our Height Safety Straps at 15kN, but built with wire rated to 17kN. These lanyards do NOT comply with the Australian Height Safety Standard AS/NZS 5532. These Safety Lanyards are made from 6.0mm 6×19 G1570 Galvanised Steel which is basic 6.0mm galvanised steel wire rope – bare and naked for a total Outside Diameter of 6.0mm. It securely attaches objects to anchor points and is primarily used as a Secondary Retention Device.
Usage: This flexible safety wire fastens easily, bends readily, and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch and units can be combined to form a longer effective length. The optional Galvanised Steel Quick Link can be added easily. The Safety Lanyard fastens in three ways. Firstly, to itself for a loop. Secondly – onto the wire itself for adjustable security. Thirdly – from the object to the anchor point for a standard installation. Anchor points can include Pole Mounts, Eye Bolts, of Lifing Eyes. The Galvanised Steel Wire Safety Lanyard is best for installations in NON – aggressive or corrosive environments.
Length of Wire: Using combinations of lanyards to get the desired total length can be done but is NOT recommended. For example, combine two single 500mm lengths. The effective length will be 1000mm. Quicklinks are NOT included in this variant – but are available separately. Lengths (L) are measured from ‘Center of Eye’ to ‘Center of Eye’ within our stated tolerances. If greater precision is required, then agreed tolerances must be discussed and agreed before construction.
