Safety Lanyard 1.0M Uncoated 6.0mm 6X19 G1570 Galvanised Steel

Materials per wire:

1. 2 x 6.0mm Oval Aluminium Swage Sleeves
2. Blank of 6.0mm 6X19 G1570 Galvanised Steel Wire Rope

Construction

1. Cut Wire Blanks of 6.0mm 6X19 G1570 Galvanised Steel Wire Rope where T2T Target length is 1000mm
2. The length of each Soft Eye 75mm, which uses up 175mm of wire so an additional 100mm is needed to complete the “soft eye”
3. Cut blanks to 1200mm = 1000 + (2*100.0mm)
4. For each end:
   1. Use the 6.0mm Oval Aluminium Swage Sleeve to hold the Soft Eye, allowing ~5mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
   2. Use a 38mm diameter mandrel to set the soft eye size
   3. Using greased Swaging Dies are from the HP240-C – round shape for 6.0mm Oval Ferrules in the Hydraulic Bench Press and press the oval swage sleeve to ~3000PSI
   4. Swage the fitting progressively until it achieves a diameter of 12.0mm (+/- 0.4mm)
