Safety Wire PEES 1.2M Clear 7×7 1.2mm/1.5mm G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

1. 1 x Round 2.0mm Aluminium Ferrule
2. 1 x Pressed Eye 6.0mm G304 Stainless Steel
3. Blank of Clear Nylon Coated 7×7 1.2mm/1.5mm G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

1. Cut Wire Blanks of Clear Nylon Coated 7×7 1.2mm/1.5mm G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope where T2T Target length is 1.2M
2. The Pressed Eye uses up 7mm and the Round Ferrule just goes on the end
3. Cut blanks to 1193mm = 1200mm – (7mm)
4. Select a Pressed Eye and using the smallest vise grips hold the pressed eye as close to the ‘tube’ as possible, then “round” the crimping tube with cold forging using
   • the bench swager and the 1.5mm aperture, or “round” hand crimper

6. Using the C-Head and the Small Black Cordless Press with YCP-70C Dies (anvil and round 1.5mm) Hold the rounded pressed eye as close to the ‘tube’ as possible
   • Place the open side of the round in the half tube side of the die set – Insert the blank all the way and place the formed pressed eye into the dies and exert compression force
7. Crimp on the 2.0mm Round Ferrule on the end of the wire using the Largest hole in the Green Hand Swager
8. When uniformly compressed – use a parrot beak cutter to reduce the length of the swaged end stop by half.
