Product Description

Hex Nut LHT is a standard G316 Stainless Steel hexagonal nut. Our standard Hex Nuts are G316 Stainless Steel and simply awesome.  Each nut is compatible with fittings of the proper thread size. They have industry standard sizing and are available in a number of sizes to suit the fittings and threaded rod that we offer as well. All part of a very complete solution for your project.

Usage: The Hex Nut LHT provide a strong thread for fasteners. Nuts are recommended where both sides of the panel are accessible. This includes sections such as box or tube. Otherwise, Rivet Nuts can be installed into panels as thin as 0.5mm. Nutserts require access to only 1 side of a panel. Nutserts do not suffer from the maximum hardness limitations of self-clinching nuts. Consequently, sheetnuts are suitable for installation into hard or non-ductile panels. Our Rivnuts feature “bulge control” technology to accurately control the upset point. Additionally, the multi-grip feature is able to accommodate a much wider grip-range. Available in several materials, our high strength versions offer much improved thread strength.

Quality: All Low Cost Wire products meet our strict ISO Quality Standards. Firstly, our products achieve the optimal balance between high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance, and structural stability. Secondly, that long experience with design and manufacturing enables the specification and production of aesthetically beautiful and functional products. Finally, our products have a special electro polished treatment for bright and smooth surface. Therefore our fasteners, fittings, wire and cable to deliver a truly top-shelf, long lasting product that will look new for ages…

Usage Tips

  • Nuts are used to place a fastener (nut) behind a structure (like a frame tube or a metal post) or behind a panel (like a body panel).
  • Standard Hex Nuts are the most forgiving and effective version of this incredible fastener.
  • Hex nuts allows fittings to be tightened with a wrench behind the panel to hold a nut.

Installation Considerations

  • Matching alloys is important and avoiding cross contamination is very important.
  • It is recommended that similar alloy fasteners are used so that a dis similar (corrosive) alloy reaction is avoided.
  • G304 Stainless Steel can be used to attach fittings to all grades of stainless steel sheet or tube. G316 is  appropriate in HIGHLY corrosive environments,
  • G304 Stainless Steel is generally viewed as Superior toG316 in these applications because of its increased malleability in all normal environments - including marine.
  • Aluminium nuts are rare but are is used to attach to all grades of aluminium fasteners.  However, they should not be used as an 'economy' fastener on any
grade of Stainless panel as corrosion will result and the connection will fail in a relatively short time.
  • Zinc coated Steel is used to attach to all grades of mild teel sheeting or tube.. It should not be used as an 'economy' fastener on any grade of Stainless panel as corrosion will result and the connection will ultimately fail.
  • Zinc coated steel may be used on aluminium panels however please beware of the difference in relative strength of the materials.
  • It may be necessary to (electrically) isolate and insulate fittings from the substrate material - again to avoid a galvanic (dissimilar alloys) reaction. Nylon washers can be very effective in this regard.
