Jaw Jaw Open Turnbuckle 5/8″-16 1.6T Rated Galvanised Steel is a turnbuckle. Known as a Fork Fork Open Turnbuckle also. They are ideal fasteners for projects requiring rated tensioners or turnbuckles for galvanised steel wire rope. Manufactured from Grade P high tensile material quenched and tempered hot dipped galvanised finish suitable for outdoor use available in imperial sizing and jaw end fittings with lock nuts. Meets the design requirements of ASTM F1145:2017. These fasten with a removable pin or screw, and pivot at both ends to easily adjust on a secured post or frame.1.6T is the WLL while tensile Strength (MBS) = ~8000.0kg
Usage: The Jaw Jaw Open Turnbuckle 5/8″-16 1.6T Rated will work with a range of fittings. They fasten with the removable pin to an anchor hole. An anchor holes form the frame or area that will contain the wire. Generally, the Jaw Jaw Turnbuckles work with terminal loops formed with ferrules and thimbles. A manual hand swager crimps the ferrule to the appropriate diameter of wire rope. With both right-hand and left-hand threads, the body of the Galvanised Jaw Jaw Open Turnbuckle can easily provide tension to your wire rope, without bending or stretching the wire. Tighten the body of the rigging screw with a standard spanner by rotating the body clockwise until tensioned to your needs.
