Description
Jaw Swage Rigging Screw Fork Terminal Short Eye Bolt Nutsert SRMM kit suits a run of wire of 10 meters or less (hence the SR or Short Run) because there is a single tensioning pointy. The single tensioning point uses two attachment points which are two M6 x 1.0 x 15mm (Short) Mini Eye Bolts. These attach directly into the two RHT nutserts once they are installed into the metal posts (hence the MMor Metal to Metal).
Application
Drill the posts and install the nutserts using a Nutsert Tool. The first end of the run has a Jaw / Swage Rigging Screw (for wire tensioning) swaged to the wire. Attach the tensioner to the first 15mm Eye Bolt. The Mini Eye Bolt fastens to a metalpost or plate. Attach the second end using a Fork Terminal swaged to the wire to attach to the second 15mm Mini Eye Boltwhich is fastened to the second post or wall. We recommend that the end posts are drilled 9.0mm and M6x1.0 Stainless Steel Rivet Nuts (rivnuts / nutserts) are installed. Nutsert tools and fasteners are available on this site.
It follows that wire is installed through the intermediate posts and ‘cut to length’. Please make sure you expand the turnbuckles before measurement and drill the intermediate posts out to at least 4mm prior to swaging in place if the are stainless steel. If your intermediate posts are a different alloy (e.g. aluminium or mild steel ) – you will want to drill them out to 8.0mm and use standard grommets (prevents a galvanic or dissimilar alloys reaction).
Alternately, if you build the wire before you install it, then the length of a wire run is determined by the ‘inside to inside’ post measurement less a fixed amount which represents the distance between the attachment posts ‘taken up’ by the fittings when installed and adjusted properly
