Pressed Eye Terminals terminate miniature Stainless Steel Wire Rope. Alternatively, a Pressed Eye Terminal may be called an Swage Eye or an Eyelet. Additionally, the G316 Stainless Steel swaged end terminal can be screwed or rivetted to anchor points. As a result, Pressed Eye Terminals must match the size of the anchor points so the internal diameter of the eye it quite important. Additionally, a Pressed Eye Terminal fits a (small) range of miniature wire diameters ranging from 1.0mm to 2.0mm. Other miniature wire fittings complement these terminal fittings.
Usage: The Pressed Eye Terminall fittings anchor the wire to a frame or area and can be used in tethers. Firstly, swage the stamped eyes to attach the wire to the fitting. Secondly, as swaging crushes a fitting in a controlled manner – die size can be critical and is related more to wire diameter than fitting at this size. These fittings have a starting diameter and a finished diameter. Lastly, the chosen swaging tool dies cold pressure weld the fitting to the wire. Finally, tool pressure and size varies with the size of the wire and the fitting.
