Description

These Safety Lanyards are made from Black PVC Coated 4.0mm 7×19 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope for a total Outside Diameter of ~5.6mm and a length of 200mm. Using the two G316 Stainless Steel Swage Eyes, it securely attaches objects to anchor points and is primarily used as a Safety Lanyard. Additionally, the fittings are covered with Black heatshrink to complement the coating of the wire rope. This anchoring lanyard prevents accidental item (equipment) drops. Additionally, this Safety Wire has no stretch with high range flexibility. Consequently, the flexible wire means it handles easily. Finally, the Anchor Strops use Coated 2.5mm 7×7 316 (Marine) Grade Stainless Steel Wire Rope. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~876.9kg or 8.6kN with the overall construction rated at the same level.

Usage: This flexible safety wire fastens easily, bends readily, and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch, and units can be combined to form a longer effective length. An optional 6mm G316 Stainless Steel Quick Link or G316 Snap Hook can be added easily. The safety strap fastens in three ways. Firstly, to itself for a loop. Secondly – onto the wire itself for adjustable security. Thirdly – from the object to the anchor point for a standard installation.

Length of Wire: Lengths (L) are measured from ‘center of eye’ to ‘center of eye’. Using combinations of lanyards to get the desired total length is NOT recommended. For example, combine two single 500mm lengths. The effective length will be 1000mm. Quicklinks are NOT included in this variant – but are available separately.
