Safety Wire SHPE-6.0 1.5mm 500mm 7X7 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 1 x 6.0mm G304 Stainless Steel Pressed Eye
  2. 1 x 1.5mm Hourglass Ferrules of Nickel Plated Copper
  3. 1.0M SHSH Black Coated 1.5mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

  1. Cut the original cable in two to yield 2 blanks.
  2. Each Pressed Eye extends the length of wire by 7.0mm to CofE when held as close as possible in the small vise grips
  3. Use a 1.5mm Nickel Plated Copper Swages and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the DAM tightly allowing ~1.0mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
  4. Using the 1.5mm Dies of the Manual Bench Swager – press the sleeve 3 times – first by the mandrel catching the back edge of the sleeve, then at the front catching the front end of the sleeve and finish the middle for uniformity.
  5. Strip 4.0mm of covering from the cut end of the cable to accommodate the pressed eye
  6. Using the C-Head and the Yellow Press with YCP-70C Dies (anvil and round 2.0mm), hold the rounded pressed eye in the vise grips and place the open side of the round in the half tube side of the die set – holding the eye up tight from the side and into the dies.
  7. Insert the blank all the way and press to the pressure relief valve.
