Safety Wire SHSE 1M 3.0mm/4.0mm Clear 6×7+FC G1570 Galvanised Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 1 x 6.0mm Zinc Plated Spring Hooks with Eyes
  2. 2 x 4.0mm Hourglass Ferrules of Aluminium
  3. 2 x 40mm 8mm Clear Heat Shrink
  4. Blank of 3.0mm/4.0mm Clear 6×7+FC G1570 Galvanised Steel Wire Rope

Construction:

  1. Each Soft Eye adds 42mm from the tip to the far end of the swage of the soft eye and wire needs to extend past the front of the swage sleeve by 96mm to complete the “soft eye”
  2. Spring Hook adds 102mm from the bearing point to the far end of the swage of the soft eye,
  3. Cut blanks to 1032mm = 1000mm – (102mm + 42mm) + (96mm + 80mm)
  4. Place the 2 pieces of Heat Shrink and Ferrules on the Wire Rope.
  5. Align the axial planes of the Spring Hook and Soft Eye.
  6. Use 4.0mm Hourglass Aluminium Swage and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the SH tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  7. Use 4.0mm Hourglass Aluminium Swage and Hold the Soft Eye formed by the EB tightly allowing < = 0.0mm of wire to protrude on the wire side of the swage sleeve.
  8. Finish both 4.0mm Hourglass Aluminium Swage Sleeves with the 4.0mm dies in the Bench Swager
