Safety Wire Screw Lock SHSH-6mm Coated Black 180mm 2.5mm/3.5mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel

Materials per wire:

  1. 2 x 2.5mm Oval Copper Swage Sleeve
  2. 2 x 6.0mm Screw Lock Spring Hook
  3. Blank of Black Coated 2.5mm/3.5mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Construction

  1. Cut Wire Blanks of Black Coated 2.5mm/3.5mm 7×7 G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope where CoE2CoE Target length is 250mm
  2. Strip 90mm from each end
  3. Each Soft Eye adds 40mm (swage + eye), which uses up 90mm of wire so an additional 52mm is needed to complete the “hard eye”
  4. Cut blanks to 352mm = 250 – (2*40.0mm) + (2*92.0mm)
  5. For each end:
    1. Use the 2.5mm Oval Copper Swage Sleeve to hold the Hard Eye, allowing 1.0mm of wire to protrude on the backside of the swage sleeve
    2. Using the 2.0mm Bench Swaging Jaws, press the oval swage sleeve to a round tube shape
