Tool Safety Lanyard 8.6kN ALL SIZES

Description

These Tool Safety Lanyards are made from 4.0mm 7×19 G316 Stainless Steel which is an uncoated marine grade 4.0mm stainless steel wire rope. It securely attaches objects to anchor points as a Safety Lanyard. Used as a Tool Safety Lanyard, this anchoring lanyard prevents accidental item (equipment) drops meeting the ANSI / ISEA 121 Standard. Additionally, this Safety Wire has no stretch with high range flexibility. Consequently, the flexible wire means it handles easily. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~876.9 kg or 8.6kN with a SWL of 175.4 kg or 1.6kN using a 5x Safety Factor.

Usage: This flexible safety wire fastens easily, bends readily, and resists kinking. The wire will not stretch and units can be combined to form a longer effective length. An optional G316 Stainless Steel Quick Link or G316 Snap Hook can be added easily. The safety strap fastens in three ways. Firstly, to itself for a loop. Secondly – onto the wire itself for adjustable security. Thirdly – from the object to the anchor point for a standard installation. The Stainless Steel Safety Wire is best for installations in aggressive or corrosive environments.

Length of Wire: Using combinations of lanyards to get the desired total length is NOT recommended. For example, combine two single 500mm lengths. The effective length will be 1000mm. Quicklinks are NOT included in this variant – but are available separately. Lengths (L) are measured from ‘Tip to Tip”  within our stated tolerances. If greater precision is required, then agreed tolerances must be discussed and agreed before construction.
