A Turnbuckle Extension is a fitting (invention?) that is designed to lengthen a turnbuckle that provides a tensioning function. It works on open or closed turnbuckles on the right hand side. As such, they can be combined with a host of (properly sized) connections using RHT for the desired effect. This fitting is made from polished marine grade stainless steel and offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The manufacturing process uses high quality cast AISI 316 marine grade stainless steel and the end products are electro polished for a superior finish.
Usage: Low Cost Wire Turnbuckle Extensions are specifically designed for general purpose and shade sail applications and suit most types of metric threaded Eye Nuts and Hex Nuts. Note that these fittings are NOT rated for lifting purposes. A turnbuckle extension is available in a number of sizes – working with both open and closed formats. Longer Allthread may be used or the extensions may be combined together for greater extension.
