Description
These Cordless Hydraulic Round Crimping Dies suit the 6T EP Series and the 12T EM Series in our line of Cordless Hydraulic Swaging Tools. These dies are intended to be used in a “crimping” capacity – NOT a swaging capacity. The sizing of the dies accommodates both EM and EP Series, but the power of 12T tool on the contact surface is MUCH more, thus allowing faster work, use on larger wire with elevated head pressure in a crimping capacity.
Application: These dies are offered separately and are specialized for use with either Round or Hourglass Swages in Copper or Aluminium. They are available individually in case of loss of the original or if there is an interest in having some extras. All of the dies intended for our Swaging Tools are (and have always been) high carbon steel that is heat treated for long life. . Used as recommended, in the EM tool, these jaws are hard enough that they will (probably) never need to be replaced. But if you do wear them out, or lose them in the forest – the replacements are available here… Note: the recommended range is
- 2.0mm to 6.0mm for the 6T EP Series and
- 6.0mm to 14.0mm for the 12T EM Series
The dies are available as individual (matched) pairs or as a set. These little beauties work for specific tools – as well as being available in specific sizes. Please note that the EM series dies will fit the EP series tools – however this cross series fitment is not always recommended. Just because it fits, doesn’t mean it will work the way you hope…
