Round Zinc Plated Swage Sleeve End Stop can be used to fix to single wire ropes. Our Gym Crimp fittings are called a wide variety of things including Cable Cap Sleeves, also known as Round Ferrules. Basically, they are bits of Zinc Plated Mild Steel that are designed to pass over the wire rope and be swaged hydraulically on the wire to act as a ‘stop’ point.

Round Zinc Plated Swage Sleeves can be used to fix to single wire ropes. Our End Stopper fittings are called a wide variety of things including Cable Cap Sleeves, also known as Round Ferrules. Basically, they are bits of Zinc Plated Mild Steel that are designed to pass over the wire rope and be swaged hydraulically on the wire to act as a ‘stop’ point. In practice, this is putting a manually swaged terminal on the wire.
Usage: Round Zinc Plated Swages are used in winch or winding set ups with various types of lifting or control cables – but generally on Gym Equipment Cables. Please note that the retention strength of these fittings is ~70% of the MBS of the wire to which they are fastened. Aluminium or copper cable stops are other alternatives – that can be manually swaged but are only good for ~50% of the MBS of the wire to which they are fastened.
