Description
G316 Stainless Steel Saddle 8mm (Eye Strap) are anchor fittings. Saddles attach wire termination fittings to a flat surface. They are strongest when the fasteners are under a tension load. Consequently, saddles fasten with counter sunk screws, pan head screws, or stainless steel rivets. Additionally, saddles may fasten with Tek Screws or bolts screwed into an embedded thread fastener such as a rivet nut or a timber insert.
Usage: Saddle 8mm eye straps work with open turnbuckles, closed turnbuckles, manually swaged fittings, and hydraulically swaged terminals. Eye Strap Saddles are in sizes that work with a specific size (range) of wire or rope. Rope fastened to a Saddle Eye Strap in a loop, should be ‘protected’ by a thimble. The thimble distributes the load to prevent the wire being pulled through a radius that is tighter/smaller than is recommended. Saddle Eye Strap fittings are designed to work with open turnbuckles, closed turnbuckles, manually swaged fittings, and hydraulically swaged terminals.
